We would like to acknowledge that Tiohtià:ke/Montréal is located on unceded Indigenous lands. [UN]PROMPTU is a not-for-profit collective of artists, based in Montréal, committed to helping emerging artists receive recognition for their work. Specifically, the collective is focused on supporting upcoming artists at the undergraduate level through workshops and exhibition opportunities. [UN]PROMPTU is dedicated to supporting artists across various disciplines facing challenging obstacles such as securing exhibition spaces, and aims to promote a community mentality that confronts institutional market-based control within the art world - for example, the gallery and auction systems. Additionally, the collective is interested in offering opportunities for community-building through knowledge-sharing workshops, artist talks, interviews, and exhibitions. [UN]PROMPTU is dedicated to fostering a community of artists and building a space where creative minds can flourish.
